Private Lesson Programs

B.D.S. offers private half hour and hourly lessons seven days
a week to those of all ages. All of our music teachers are highly
trained and are some of the best in the state. Our teachers utilize
the mirror imaging technique. This means we have two
drum sets in a studio which enables the teacher to more effectively
communicate the necessary ideas to the student.
All of our instructors teach many styles of music at all levels
and they show their students all of the playing techniques that
are most commonly used today. Emphasis is placed on technique,
creativity, timing, phrasing, dynamics, ear training, sight reading
and composing. Focus is also placed on learning the role of the
musician within a group setting.
B.D.S. has one of the most extensive selection of play-a-long
songs in the country. From the simplest to the most complex,
our selection of play-a-long songs have proven to be excellent
tools by giving the student the ability to be the drummer for
his/her favorite band. We also customize our play-a-long
CD's for the student which helps to provide inspiration when practicing.
The teachers offer detailed progress reports on a regular basis
and Music Achievement Certificates
are presented to the student based on acquired skills and performance.
While waiting for lessons, please enjoy the amenities our waiting
room has to offer such as free high speed Internet access
for browsing and e-mail, refreshments, dvd/vcr video, books and
table games.
